Business information

Terms of Business.

A clear working summary of how we do business, allowing for the fact that we don’t.

Version 3 of 1. Supersedes nothing.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Business set out the agreement between you and Sloplo Events. They explain what we do, what you can expect from us, and what we can expect from you, in that descending order of certainty. Please read them carefully. We did not.

By using this website you accept these terms in full. By generating this website, so did we, which felt fair.

2. The role of Sloplo Events

Sloplo Events is an introduction service. We introduce customers to the concept of suppliers.

We are not a party to any contract formed between a customer and a supplier. At the time of writing, we are not a party to anything.

3. Customer responsibilities

Customers agree to provide accurate information about their event, including the date, the venue, the budget, and realistic hopes. Everything you submit will be treated as true, stored securely, and acted upon never.

Customers further agree to behave reasonably towards suppliers, should any materialise.

4. Supplier responsibilities

Suppliers are responsible for maintaining their own public liability insurance, their own licences, and their own existence. Of these three, existence has proved the hardest to verify.

5. Fees and payments

Using the website is free. Any fee will be explained before payment is requested. The explanation is ready. It is waiting for the fee.

6. Bookings

A booking is confirmed when both parties believe it is. This has not happened. Until it does, all bookings remain in a preliminary state we refer to as “the future”.

7. Cancellations and changes

Changes to a booking should be reported promptly, so that nothing can be done.

8. Personal information

Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which goes into more detail than we can here, or anywhere.

9. Liability

As a large language model, Sloplo Events cannot be held liable for events, suppliers, or the consequences of either.

Our total liability is in any case capped at the amount you have paid us. To date that is £0, a cap we are comfortable with.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with our service, the first step is to reflect. Most complaints resolve here. The second step is an email. There is no third step.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by vibes and, where vibes are silent, by the laws of England and Wales.

12. Severability

If any clause of these terms is found to be invalid, the remaining clauses shall continue in full force and
